Temporary Lecturer provides a quality learning experience for students. Performs instruction-related duties and responsibilities in a timely manner and in accordance with the mission, policies and procedures of the college. The relationship of the Lecturer faculty member to the student is one of teacher and facilitator of learning. Teaching and departmental responsibilities expected.
Duties include teaching day/evening undergraduate lecture and/or lab courses, and service to the Department as needed.
An earned Master's degree awarded by a regionally accredited or internationally recognized institution in the field specified in the position announcement (exceptions require Academic Affairs approval). Possesses excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Master's degree in Chemistry (or related field) is required. Higher Education teaching experience is required. Ph.D. in Chemistry (or related field) is preferred.
Supervising students in clinical and/or laboratory area. Instructors will be expected to evaluate students as well as direct and coach them in the care of clients and the development of nursing skills. Presentation of didactic material in a classroom setting independently or as a member of a team may also be required.
Repetitive movement of hands and fingers - typing and/or writing. Frequent standing, and/or sitting. Occasional walking, stooping, kneeling or crouching. Reach with hands and arms.
